Gary and Cynthia Peterson Flat Screen Televisions
After reading an article in the local newspaper about the new Cancer and Neurosciences Center, Gary and Cynthia Peterson contacted the Foundation to schedule a meeting. They were interested in receiving details about the project and also wanted to share Cynthia’s grateful patient experience.
More than seven years ago, Cynthia was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. Under the watchful care of Dr. Alborz Alali and after a treatment plan of four rounds of chemotherapy, she was in remission and has remained cancer free for the past six years. Cynthia said, “We are extremely appreciative with the care and compassion I received from Dr. Alali and his staff. This donation was a simple way of saying, thank you.”
After reviewing a Cancer and Neurosciences Center wish list, the Peterson’s decided to fund the purchase of 10 flat screen televisions for patients receiving treatment in the group infusion room. Gary said, “We wanted to give back to Woodland Healthcare and provide a donation which many people could benefit from.” This gift was a welcome addition to the new center and will be enjoyed by many while trying to pass the hours during a difficult time.
